We may be wearing our comfortable slippers now while we figure out this work and school-from-home situation, but I’m dreaming of normal days ahead for all of us. I noticed quite a few great deals on cute-comfy shoes at Zappos while I was browsing the other day. I’ll share my finds with you.
An ankle boot to go with everything, I present the Seychelles Waiting for You featuring an almond toe, 1.25″ stacked heel and nicely cushioned insole. The taupe suede option is marked down to $58 in sizes 6-11.
You can find all three colors of the JBU Evelyn Encore for under $31 at Zappos currently! Made of synthetic leather, the Evelyn Encore features a memory foam footbed, 1.34″ stacked heel and a recycled rubber outsole. According to reviews, they run a little short, so perhaps order up a half size if possible. Others have mentioned the arch support is minimal, but there’s room to add a arch cushion.
Are your wool slippers too warm to wear around the house now that it’s March? How about this slip-on clog by Clarks with a textile upper for under $50? An Ortholite footbed provides good cushioning and moderate arch support. Take it from this happy Zappos customer:
I LOVE these clogs! I bought them to wear around the house as slippers, replacing a horrible pair of overpriced Mahabis that were like walking on cardboard. I fell for the marketing on those and they were complete duds–after wearing them for two years my feet were killing me. I went to Clark’s because I’ve had several pairs that were very comfortable. These are a dream and I can’t believe I wore those others for so long. They are firm but supportive and comfortable. They are also much cuter than expected. I love the medium gray with orange trim and interior!
Available for $35-45 in sizes 6-12.
There’s no denying, Rothy’s are just plain cute; all the patterns, colors and textures. And we love that they’re made of recycled water bottles, but golly, they’re pricey and rarely go on sale. If you’re looking for a similar look at a fraction of the price, how about Skechers Cleo Sherlock? You may even find them more comfortable that Rothy’s as the toe box is slightly wider and the footbed more cushioned. And for under $45, you could get both patterns for less than a pair of Rothy’s!
Beautiful, quality-made in Portugal, supportive…and usually over $200! That’s Samuel Hubbard. Good news, the All Aboard oxford is currently $159 in the blush leather featured above ($185 for taupe and black). A triple-density removable PORON footbed and extra-light EVA outsoles make this classic oxford an all-day favorite (and the brand carries the rare size 10.5) Zappos customer Debby had this to say about her Samuel Hubbard oxfords:
Wow! I have all kinds of foot issues. Plantar fasciitis, high arches, supination, hammer toes etc. These shoes are WONDERFUL! Pricey, yes…but I will take good care of them and think they will last a long time.
Here we have a very affordable sandal for wider feet! And you can’t beat the price at $37. The Blowfish Makara is considered a “footbed” sandal since it features a molded platform meant to conform to the shape of the foot. Although only available in one width (medium), most customers mention it fits a wider foot best.
The Clarks Annadel Eirwyn platform wedge is marked down to around $50 for most colors and comes in extended sizes and wide widths. Don’t let the three-inch height scare you off, the platform takes up one of those inches! Here’s one of many 5-star reviews:
“Love these sandals. I have problems with bunions and arthritis and these fit perfectly. Extremely comfortable footbed.”
We love how Rockport Cobb Hill has upped their style game lately–these perfed platform wedges are perfect for upcoming warmer weather! Both the white and and green nubuck colors are marked down to between $50-60. Available in sizes 5-11, medium and wide widths.
Obviously there’s no arch support in these simple sandals by Skechers, but we love the block heel and how they mimic a popular style by Toms for less. Perhaps they’d work for a dressier occasion if you can’t wear high heels? Find the Skechers Petaluma in sizes 5-10 for $40-50.
This is an athletic shoe brand I just discovered. The reviews are coming in 5 stars for secure fit, support and stabilization. This particular pair, the Spire 3 is marked down currently from $150 to $99. Available in sizes 5-12 (even a 10.5).
Anonymous Zappos Customer: Great shoe for all workouts, low/mod/intense impact–enough padding and lateral support. Fits true to size and is nice looking as well! This brand has become my favorite recently for workout shoes. Would recommend!
